InHealth Staffing is hiring Occupational Therapist (OT) for our school-based position for a public school district.

Job Details

• 1099 Independent Contract Pay Rate: $55 – $60 / hour
• Weekly schedule; flexible

Job Responsibilities

• Conduct occupational therapy assessments to evaluate students’ sensory, motor, and functional abilities.
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings and collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to the student’s needs.
• Provide direct occupational therapy services to students in various settings, such as the classroom, therapy room, playground, or gymnasium.
• Address fine motor skills, gross motor skills, sensory processing, visual-perceptual skills, and self-help skills through therapeutic interventions.
• Design and implement activities and exercises that promote skill development and independence in academic, self-care, and social activities.
• Train and educate school staff, parents, and caregivers on strategies to support students’ occupational therapy goals within the classroom and home environment.
• Modify classroom equipment and materials to accommodate the needs of students with physical or sensory challenges.
• Collaborate with the school’s special education team to participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute to the development of IEP goals and objectives.
• Monitor and document students’ progress, including collecting data and preparing progress reports on a regular basis.
• Advocate for the inclusion of occupational therapy services in the school environment and work to promote a positive and inclusive school culture.
• Stay up-to-date with best practices in the field of occupational therapy and maintain relevant certifications and licensure.

Job Requirements

• Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy (MOT)
• New Jersey School Certificate required
• New Jersey state licensure and certification as an Occupational Therapist
